Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared Gift David Okpara Okpolowu, also known as 2-Baba, and his criminal gang as prime suspects in the gruesome murder of Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbashim. The governor announced an N100 million bounty for anyone providing information leading to their arrest and prosecution.

Additionally, Eze Cassidy Ikegbidi, a monarch allegedly complicit in the murder, has been indefinitely suspended. The prime suspect is also linked to kidnapping and terrorism activities in parts of the state.

2. Rivers United Tops Nigeria’s NPFL Ranking  As Best Club.

Rivers United has secured the top spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rankings, as reported by statistics website Opta. Using the Elo algorithm to analyze results from over 2.5 million games, Opta placed Rivers United at the 30th position on the African continent.

3. Tragic Canoe Capsizing in Adamawa State Leaves Two Dead, Fifteen Missing.

In a devastating incident near Dandu village in Yola South Local Government Area, a canoe carrying 23 passengers, including farmers, traders, and children, capsized in Njuwa Lake.
